As a high school student with a deep passion for technology, specifically computer science, I have been fully immersed in the world of programming and tinkering with circuits for as long as I can remember. It has become my absolute favorite subject, and I can't imagine a time when I wasn't engrossed in the fascinating world of computer science.
When I'm not at school, I have a couple of other hobbies that bring me joy and relaxation. One of them is baking, which allows me to explore my creativity in a different way. I love experimenting with different flavors and techniques, and the satisfaction of creating something delicious from scratch is truly rewarding. Additionally, I enjoy going on cycling adventures around Tucson, where I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by breathtaking views. Exploring the scenic landscapes on my bike is not only a great way to stay active but also a way to clear my mind and find inspiration.
A few years ago, I received my very first laser engraver as a Christmas gift. It was a K40 laser from Amazon, and little did I know that this gift would ignite a newfound interest in laser engraving. As I delved deeper into this hobby, I discovered that xTool had released the P2 CO2 laser engraver, and I instantly knew that I had to get my hands on one. The possibilities and potential for creativity with this advanced machine were simply too enticing to resist.
However, I soon realized that the P2 was too big to fit comfortably inside my house, given the limited space available. Determined to pursue my passion, I embarked on a project with my dad starting from August 2023. Together, we built a studio outside our home specifically designed to accommodate the P2 laser engraver. This project not only taught me the basics of framing but also provided valuable lessons in electrical wiring and drywall installation. It was an incredible learning experience that allowed me to develop practical skills while pursuing my passion.
Now, Saguaro Laser Company operates from this dedicated studio, providing ample space for the P2 laser engraver to work its magic. I am incredibly grateful for this space, as it not only allows me to run my business but also gives me the opportunity to create unique home decor and other items for personal use. The studio has become my sanctuary, where I can fully immerse myself in the world of laser engraving and let my creativity soar.
Looking back, it's amazing to see how my interest in laser engraving developed from a simple Christmas gift into a full-fledged business venture.
